Handmade Kitchens
The carcass of our typical handmade kitchen is created from furniture grade poplar plywood sourced from Spain. All fixed shelves, e.g. top and bottom shelves of a typical carcase are rebaited, glued and screwed into adjoining gables. This provides a very strong connection. Solid wood frames are fixed with biscuits, glue and pocket screws to the face edge of the carcasses. Our drawers are dovetail jointed, created from the appropriate wood of the kitchen. Drawers slide on high quality concealed runners. Doors are generally hung with brass or brushed steel butt hinges.
